Wyoming’s first Camping World store holding its grand opening in Cheyenne next weekend

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A popular store of outdoorsmen and camping enthusiasts across America is planting its foot in the Cowboy State by opening its first Wyoming location next weekend.

Camping World, an Illinois-based retail corporation specializing in the sale of recreational vehicles (RVs) and other related accessories — including parts and service work — is opening the doors next week for its brand-new Cheyenne location at 8910 Hutchins Drive off of Interstate 80.

The business will begin a grand opening event Thursday that will last for the following two days and feature “unbelievable deals,” as it states in promotional materials. The spot will be Camping World’s first foray into Wyoming, making Wyoming the 42nd state to have at least one of the over 170 stores nationwide.

Camping World originally announced the development April 1, 2021 by noting in a news release back then that it had agreed to purchase nine acres at the current site to build what it calls a “SuperCenter” location. Now, almost a year to the day of that announcement, that location will begin serving area camping lovers.

“We are excited to open our first location in the State of Wyoming as we propel toward our goal of a national recreational dealer platform in all 48 contiguous states,” said Marcus Lemonis, CEO and Chairman of Camping World Holdings, in last year’s release. “Each location we open across the U.S. represents significant economic impact for the communities and convenient customer service and products for the 5.3 million active customers we serve. We are looking forward to developing this land and making Cheyenne our new home.”

Directions, business hours and additional information about the store are available on Camping World’s website. The corporation noted in its aforementioned news release that the Cheyenne location would feature “new and used RVs from top manufacturers” as well as Good Sam (Camping World’s owners) items and services, which include subscription-based products.
