Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma’s Rishikesh trip with daughter is all about riverside camping, hiking & meditation


Cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma made the most of their spiritual Rishikesh trip with riverside meditation, camping and hiking.

In a string of images posted on Instagram, the actress shared calming and adventurous pictures of her cricketer-husband and daughter Vamika hiking with her during their Rishikesh trip.

According to the pictures, the 34-year-old father could be seen trekking with his one-year-old on his back in a baby carrier. Sharma captured an adorable moment when the father-daughter duo were playing with river water.

Alongside the pictures, she wrote, “There’s a mountain in the mountains and there is no one at the top.”

Kohli took to Instagram to post a picture of the family-of-three hiking.

On Tuesday, the couple visited the Swami Dayanand Giri Ashram in the spiritual city. Several pictures of the duo worshipping at the ashram went viral on social media.As part of the public religious ritual, the duo organised a bhandara (free meal service) for fellow devotees and saints in the ashram. Excited fans requested Kohli for a selfie, and the cricketer obliged. Later in the day, the couple spent the day on the banks of the river Ganga. Sharma also shared a picture of herself meditating riverside.

Virushka‘s spiritual visit to Rishikesh comes days after they, along with their daughter, sought blessings at an ashram in Vrindavan last month.

In previous interviews, the couple had revealed that they look forward to spiritual trips which help restore peace of mind amid their busy work schedules.

On the work front, the 34-year-old actress surprised everyone with her cameo in ‘Qala’. Her appearance in the film, which was a Bollywood debut of Irrfan Khan’s son Babil, was a closely guarded secret – which made waves on social media after the release.

The ‘NH10’ star will play the role of the iconic Indian pace bowler Jhulan Goswami in the much-waited ‘Chakda Xpress’.

On the other hand, Australia is set to tour India in the coming few days for a four-game Test series. It will begin on February 3 in Nagpur while the ODIs will kickstart on March 17 in Mumbai.
