LA CROSSE CO., Wis. (WKBT) – Winter can be a great time to enjoy getting outside for some camping.
Members of scouts BSA Troop 15 were at Camp Decorah north of Holmen.
While there is snow on the ground, mosquitoes aren’t a problem.
But that doesn’t mean the scouts can take it easy when preparing for the conditions.
“It can still be really fun as long as you make sure to bring enough stuff to stay warm,” said Scouts BSA Youth Leader Gavin Kreiling.
While there, scouts are also learning how create snow shelters and how to check out animal tracks.
