You’ll find Herrington Manor State Park in the Oakland, Maryland area. It’s often overshadowed by the other nearby parks, but it shouldn’t be.

There are twenty log cabins onsite and they all include electricity, bathrooms with hot showers, and fully-equipped kitchens. Cabins range in size from fitting two guests, and up to six guests for the larger sizes.

Then, partake on a scenic hike. Herrington Manor State Park offers 12 miles of trails, including a 5.5-mile trek that connects to the nearby Swallow Falls State Park.
