FRONTENAC, Kan. – Girl Scouts took their annual trip to Friendship Fields Day Camp to explore the outdoors.
Camp organizers say they have over thirty volunteers with 60 campers in grades K – 12.
Officials say some troops travel as far as texas to participate in the event.
‘You know it’s great anytime a girl catches a fish for the first time, or gets on the kayak for the first time, or canoe, or starts her first fire,” stated Camp Director Jenny Gallet. “It makes everything worth it, all the hours and time we put into planning this it makes everything worth it.”
The four-day camp incorporates activities such as:
- Kayaking
- Canoeing
- Fishing
- Camping
