Crunching down the steep gravel driveway to his cliffside hideaway home in a trusty old Land Rover, Russell Jarvis feels this serendipitous find, with its spectacular sea views and secluded woodland location, could be anywhere in the world.

And, having experienced countless globetrotting adventures in 105 countries (to date), including a close encounter with a minke whale in the Antarctic, and climbing a volcano in Guatemala, the energetic 47-year-old certainly knows a thing or two about travel.
