1. William B. Bankhead National Forest
The first stop on our road trip is the William B. Bankhead National Forest. Located in North Alabama, this national forest is home to one of the Southeast’s top hiking areas, the Sipsey Wilderness.

2. Cheaha State Park
The next stop is Cheaha State Park, which is located atop of Cheaha Mountain, Alabama’s highest natural point. One of Alabama’s most popular hiking trails, Bald Rock Boardwalk, is nestled within Cheaha State Park. It offers one of the state’s most breathtaking views at the end.
